Have you guys heard about this book?

Here’s hoping it’s not complete trash!

Audrey Hepburn loved a scoop of vanilla ice cream with maple syrup drizzled on top of it.

“[Audrey] not only inspired me to write “Moon River,” but also “Charade” and “Two for the Road.” If you listen to those songs you can almost tell who inspired them because they all have Audrey’s quality of wistfulness — a kind of slight sadness.”
— Henry Mancini on Audrey Hepburn
“I am often asked what it was like to have a famous mother. I always answer that I really don’t know. I knew her first as my mother and then as my best friend. Only after that did I understand that she was an actress, and, with time, that she was truly an exceptional actress. Only after she passed away did I realize to what an extent she had truly touched our world.”
— Sean Hepburn Ferrer on his mother Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey Hepburn answered her own telephone.

“She was thoughtful and loving and full of care. I remember one Easter, she arrived here, and she had this huge box from a great chocolatier in Lausanne, and the box of litte eggs, the most beautiful thing, and she lugged it all the way from Switzerland! And flowers, and letters…”
— Connie Wald on her best friend Audrey Hepburn’s giving nature

Audrey Hepburn loved walking at a quick pace. A friend joked that it was in response to her mother, who walked slowly.

Q

j-shortt asked:

Did Audrey ever visit Canada?

A

I haven’t been able to find any information, but as a Canadian, I’m hoping she crossed the border at least once.

Also, part of her movie Wait Until Dark takes place in Montreal, in the first 10 minutes or so.
